VIDAR SYSTEMS CORPORATION NEWS—RSNA 2004

WHAT: VIDAR Systems Corporation, the market leader in medical film digitizers, plans several important events for the 2004 RSNA:

VIDAR will exhibit its full line of leading film digitizers, including the CAD PRO™ Advantage, DiagnosticPRO™ Advantage, DosimetryPRO™ Advantage, and SIERRA™ plus. Employing VIDAR’s high-definition CCD (HD-CCD ®) technology and ADC™ (Automatic Digitizer Calibration), Advantage digitizers deliver superior image quality, increased speed, consistency, and repeatability. Advantage digitizers include patent-pending technological advances that provide customers with increased “up-time,” improving productivity and revenues for busy radiology departments and imaging centers. In addition, VIDAR will feature state-of-the-art technology from several leading systems partners.

The company will participate in an IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) demonstration focusing on portable data for imaging (PDI). Sponsored by the RSNA and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the IHE initiative is designed to advance the state of data integration in healthcare. This event will allow vendors and attendees to discover the benefits of PDI in enabling the interchange of images, evidence objects, and diagnostic reports for import, display, and printing. VIDAR will participate as a portable media creator and portable media importer.

VIDAR will introduce its new Web site, designed to provide detailed, easy-to-access information about VIDAR’s medical film digitizer business and innovative products. The Web site, which features a fresh look and feel, has been updated to include sections about products, applications, clinical studies, and customer support. A detailed segment also is devoted to VIDAR’s sales organization and relationship with OEM distributors, with information for end users interested in purchasing digitizers. Potential OEM distributors also can access, complete, and submit required documentation via the new Web site.
